Figures 1 and 2 show the site location and layout, <br /> e <br /> res ectiv 1 <br /> P Y• <br /> L1.1 Scope of Work <br /> The objective of the initial subsurface investigation is to determine if the soils and <br /> groundwater beneath the site have been impacted by previous operations.' To achieve <br /> this objective Versar proposed to drill a series of four soil borings and collect soil and <br /> groundwater samples for field and laboratory analysis and present the results.in a Phase <br /> II Environmental Assessment Report. <br /> 1.2 Site Location p <br /> The 503 West Larch Road site (subject site) is located in southwest San'Joaquin <br /> County, approximately 60 miles south of Sacramento, California. The subject site <br /> consists of a rectangular parcel of land approximately five acres in size. A site location <br /> map and site layout are presented in Figures 1 and 2; respectively. <br /> 1.3 Background <br /> The subsurface investigation is being conducted to determine if any subsurface <br /> impairment has resulted from previous hazardous material use at the site.
