HORIZON ENVIRONMENTAL INC. <br /> liw Specialists in Site Assessment Remedial Testing Design and Operation <br /> October 30, 1995 RECEIVE <br /> �nv .16 1996 <br /> Mr Kenneth Earnest ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH <br /> Ultramar, Inc PERMIT/SERVICES <br /> 525 W Third Street <br /> Hanford, CA 93230 <br /> Subject QUARTERLY GROUNDWATER MONITORING REPORT <br /> Fourth Quarter 1995 <br /> Former Beacon Station No 494 <br /> 2185 East Fremont Street, Stockton, California <br /> Mr Earnest <br /> Horizon Environmental Inc (Horizon) has prepared this Quarterly Groundwater Momtonng <br /> Report which presents the results of the 1995 fourth quarter sampling for the above-referenced <br /> site(Figure 1) There are currently 5 groundwater monitoring wells, MW-1 through MW-5, at <br /> the site(Figure 2) In addition to quarterly groundwater monitoring and sampling, Horizon has <br /> been perforrning sampling and operation and maintenance of a groundwater extraction system <br /> at the site Treated groundwater is discharged to the City of Stockton sanitary sewer system <br /> under a Murucipal Utilities Department Regional Wastewater Control permit dated August 21, <br /> 1993 As of September 7, 1995, when operation and monitoring of that system was <br /> discontinued, total of approximately 313,101 gallons of groundwater have been pumped and <br /> discharged A soil-vapor extraction system was operating under the San Joaquin Unified Air <br /> Pollution Control District Permit to Operate No N-116-2-0 until July 1995 <br /> Current Work <br /> Depth-to-groundwater measurements were obtained from wells MW-1 through MW-5 by <br /> Horizon on October 11 and 24, 1995 Static groundwater levels were measured from the top <br /> of casing (TOC) of each well and recorded to the nearest 0 01 foot The water level <br /> measurements collected on October 24 were subtracted from reference elevations previously <br /> reported by other consultants to obtain mean-sea-level (MSL) elevations as shown on Table 1 <br /> Horizon field methods and procedures are presented in Attachment A Horizon field data sheets <br /> are presented in Attachment B Historical water-level data reported by previous consultants are <br /> included in Attachment C <br /> 5011 Golden Foothill Parkway Suite 7 a EI Dorado Wills CA 95762 .
