.49-LA HORIZON ENVIRONMENTAL INC. <br /> Specialists in Site Assessment, Remedial Testing Design and Operation <br /> September 12, 1995 <br /> Mr Kenneth Earnest <br /> Ultramar, Inc <br /> 525 W Third Street <br /> Hanford, CA 93230 <br /> Subject QUARTERLY GROUNDWATER MONITORING REPORT <br /> Third Quarter 1995 <br /> Former Beacon Station No 494 <br /> 2185 East Fremont Street, Stockton, California <br /> Mr Earnest <br /> Horizon Environmental Inc (Horizon) has prepared this Quarterly Groundwater Monitoring <br /> Report which presents the results of the 1995 thtt-d quarter sampling for the above-referenced <br /> site(Figure 1) There are currently 5 groundwater monitoring wells, MW-1 through MW-5, at <br /> the site (Figure 2) In addition to quarterly groundwater monitoring and sampling, Horizon is <br /> . performing sampling and operation and maintenance of a groundwater extraction system at the <br /> site Treated groundwater is discharged to the City of Stockton sanitary sewer system under <br /> a Municipal Utilities Department Regional Wastewater Control permit dated August 21, 1993 <br /> As of August 25, 1995, a total of approximately 305,805 gallons of groundwater have been <br /> pumped and discharged Groundwater extraction system performance is monitored monthly by <br /> Horizon A soil-vapor extraction system was operating under the San Joaquin Urufied Air <br /> Pollution Control District Permit to Operate No N-116-2-0 until July 1995 <br /> Current Work <br /> Depth-to-groundwater measurements were obtained from wells MW-1 through MW-5 by <br /> Horizon on August 15, 1995 Static groundwater levels were measured from the top of casing <br /> (TOC) of each well and recorded to the nearest 0 01 foot Water level measurements were <br /> subtracted from reference elevations previously reported by other consultants to obtain mean- <br /> sea-level(MSL)elevations and as shown on Table 1 Horizon field methods and procedures are <br /> presented in Attachment A- Horizon field data sheets are presented in Attachment B Historical <br /> water-level data reported by previous consultants are included in Attachment C <br /> 5011 Golden Foothill Parkway, Suite 7 - EI Dorado Mills CA 95762 - (916)939-2170 - FAX (916)939-2172 <br /> P 0 Sox 6283 - Bakersfield CA 93388 - (805)589-8983 - FAX (805) 589-1456 <br />
