Table 1 summarizes the performance of the vapor
extraction system Figure 1 graphically presents hydrocarbon extraction rates versus time for
the vapor extraction system
The vapor extraction system ran a total of 22 days in the 87-day reporting period. Following
is a month-by-month summary of activity for both the vapor extraction system and ground water
extraction system
December 16, 1994 to January 26, 1995
The vapor extraction system (with carbon adsorption) was started but only ran for about 7 days
before shutdown was necessary because of carbon breakthrough. The vapor extraction system
extracted an estimated 29 pounds of hydrocarbons (based on field readings) Laboratory analysis
for the influent air bag sample collected on January 12, 1995, was nondetect for benzene. The
resulting estimated benzene extraction was 0 0 pound. As of January 26, 1995, the cumulative
totals for extraction amounts since start-up of the system were 12,781 pounds of hydrocarbons
and 211 pounds of benzene
lrpt182 nj
4511 Golden Foothill Parkway,Suite 1 (916)939-7550
EI Dorado Hills, California 95762 Fax(916)939-7570
