ENV")r)"" i-.NT 4t_ HEALTI1 <br /> 95 JAN 19 PIS 1: 46 Consulting Scientists, Engineers, and Geologists <br /> January 10, 1995 <br /> Mr Kenneth Earnest <br /> Ultramar Inc <br /> 525 West Third Street <br /> Hanford, California 93230 1900508/7 <br /> Subject Ground Water Monitoring Report, Fourth Quarter 1994 <br /> Beacon Station #494, 2185 East Fremont Street, Stockton, California <br /> /5 - <br /> Dear Mr Earnest <br /> Acton • Mickelson • van Dam, Inc (AMV), has been authorized to continue quarterly <br /> monitoring of ground water conditions at Beacon Station #494, located at 2185 Fremont Street, <br /> Stockton, San Joaquin County, California (Figures 1 and 2) Tis letter report summarizes the <br /> results of ground water sampling conducted on November 16, 1994, during the fourth quarter <br /> of 1994 The procedures used to purge and sample monitoring wells and measure water levels <br /> are described in Enclosure A <br /> Ground Water Level Measurements, Hydraulic Gradient, and Flow Direction <br /> Depth to ground water was measured in monitoring wells MW-1, MW-2, MW-4, and MW-5 <br /> on November 16, 1994 Depth to ground water ranged from 68 72 (MW-4) to 69 63 (MW-5) <br /> feet below the top of the respective monitoring well casings Ground water elevations increased <br /> an average of 2 14 feet between September and November 1994 Ground water level <br /> measurements from the November 16, 1994, sampling event, as well as previous ground water <br /> depth�easurements, are presented in 'Table I Due to pump installation in monitoring well <br /> Mw- , ground water level measurements were not made in this well The pump installed in <br /> monitoring well MW-3 is activated whenever water level reaches 75 feet below grade, therefore, <br /> as long as the pump is operating, the deptho water in monitoring well MW-3 will always be <br /> 75 feet or more The minimum depth of 75 0 feet was used to infer the ground water elevation <br /> in monitoring well MW-3 under pumping conditions as represented on Figure 3 Figure 3 <br /> illustrates the inferred ground water flow pattern onvember 16, 1994 Figure 3 indicates that <br /> ground water pumping from monitoring well MW-3 as influenced the local direction of ground <br /> water flow towards the center of the site <br /> Irptl79 m3 <br /> 3511 Golden Foothill Parkway.Suite 1 (916) 939-7550 <br /> El Dorado Hills, California 95762 Fax (916)939-7570 <br />
