PHS/EHD has the
following comments for your consideration.
On October 23, 1992 all monitoring wells with sufficient groundwater were sampled,
MWI, MW4, and MW5. All groundwater samples detected petroleum hydrocarbon
contamination.
PHS/EHD requested in correspondence dated September 15, 1992 that QA/QC data
sheets be submitted with quarterly reports; however, QA/QC data sheets were not
included in the above mentioned quarterly monitoring report. Please be informed that
PHS/EHD has requested QA/QC information from Alpha Analytical Laboratories.
QA/QC data sheets should be included in all future quarterly monitoring reports.
The groundwater contamination plume has not yet been defined.
PHS/EHD requested in correspondence dated September 15, 1992 that a work plan be
submitted by November 16, 1992, in order to continue the groundwater investigation. To
date PHS/EHD has not received the requested work plan. Please submit by February
22, 1993, a work plan to install a minimum of two additional monitoring wells. If you are
unable to meet due dates, please submit a written request for a due date extension.
Once soil and groundwater contamination has been defined a problem assessment report
(PAR) should be prepared evaluating soil and groundwater remedial alternatives.
o .
A Divmm of Son Joaquin County Haith Cyr berwan
