Lodi Avenue, Lodi, CA
APN 047-191-03:.
i 1
Dear Ms. Meays: .
Upon my return this date, a€ter a two week absence, I am
,informed that, you called my office stating emphatically to
my secretary ;that I was the cause and reason for all of the
delays associated with the remediation of the site located
at 216 E. Lodi Avenue, in Lodi-' California. Your state-
ments, apparently, were precipitated by Mr. Ellis ' letter of
December 30, 1994, wherein he refers to Mr. Giannoni ' s
desire to working with the Department of Health in monitor-,
ing and instituting remediation of the contamination at the
site.
Be advised that I was never informed of this by Mr. Ellis,
and, in fact,. he had continued'Ito refuse all of my requests
,to enter the property for the purpose of remediation. In
fact, although you may have received this correspondence
stating his desire to assist in the remediation, I still do
not have Mr. Giannoni ' s permission to institute the remedi
ation process, but only to monitor the wells on a quarterly
basis. All effort has been made to begin remediation as
soon as possible, but has continually hampered by their
continued refusal .
,1
Nonetheless, ii will continue to press Mr. Ellis so that we
can begin remediation, but, in` the interim, will continue to
monitor the wells on a quarterly basis.
j
Very truly yours,
{` MULLEN, SULLIVAN NEWTON
1 by
e JAMES V.
