(AGE) has prepared this work <br /> plan for the abandoiunent of eight ground water monitoring wells, two air sparging wells and one <br /> vapor extraction well at and near 204 East Lodi Avenue in Lodi, California. <br /> Also enclosed are well destruction permits and the associated permit fees. Abandonment procedures <br /> will be scheduled upon approval of this work plan. The City of Lodi will be contacted prior to <br /> commencement of abandonment of wells within the city right-of-way. <br /> INTRODUCTIONBACKGROUND <br /> Three 4-inch diameter ground water monitoring wells, five 2-inch diameter monitoring wells, two <br /> 2-inch diameter air sparging wells and one 4-inch diameter soil vapor extraction well were installed <br /> as part of a subsurface investigation and remediation of the former underground storage tank (UST) <br /> area at the site. The location of the site is illustrated in Figure 1 - Location Map. One well was <br /> installed north of the building on the subject property,four wells were installed south of the building <br /> and six wells were installed on the A& W property at 216 East Lodi Avenue. Wells were installed <br /> to total depths ranging from 59 to 75 feet below surface grade (bsg). In accordance with the San <br /> Joaquin County Public Health Service- Environmental Health Division (PHS-EHD) requirements, <br /> all wells must be properly abandoned to obtain final site closure.
