Casey Foley <br /> January 29, 1991 <br /> �+ Page 2 <br /> ( r On May 23 , 1990 , Roger Foott Associates, Inc. observed <br /> removal of one waste oil tank and one leaded gasoline tank <br /> and collected soil samples from beneath the tanks . On June <br /> 5, 1990 , Roger Foott Associates, Inc . collected one soil <br /> sample from 'below a former joint in the product dispensing <br /> F; line. <br /> Soil sample S-8 . 5-1 was collected from below the former <br /> F11 <br /> waste oil tank at an approximate depth of 8 . 5 ft below <br /> grade, or roughly 2 ft below the base of and below the fill <br /> F,; port of the former tank. Samples S-13-2 and S-15-3 were <br /> collected from the base of the tank cavity after excavating <br /> i below the former gasoline tank with the backhoe at the <br /> x <br /> turbine (north) and fill port (south) ends of the tank, <br /> respectively. Sample S-2-4 was collected from the base of a <br /> trench belowthe location of a joint in the former product <br /> delivery line. The sample was collected at a depth of <br /> approximately 2 ft below surface Igr-ade. <br /> � Sample S-8 . 5-1 was tested for total extractable <br /> Ft petroleum hydrocarbons (modified (Environmental Protection <br /> F' Agency (EPA) Method 8015 , extraction by EPA Method 3550) ; <br /> for benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and total xylene isomers <br /> (BTEX) (EPA Method 8420) ; for 'orglanochlorine pesticides and <br /> F-i polychlorinated biphenyls (PCB) (EPA Method 8080) ; for <br /> organic lead using methods recommnded by the California <br /> FDepartment of Health Services (DHS) , and for the heavy <br /> metals cadmium, chromium, lead, and zinc (using atomic <br /> Fs' adsorption methods) . Samples S-13-2 , S-15-3, and S-2-4 were <br /> tested for total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPHg) <br /> (modified EPA Method 801.5 , extraction by EPA Method 3550) ; <br /> for BTEX (EPA Method 8020) ; and for tetraethyl lead (TEL) <br /> and ethylene dibromide (EDB) using methods prescribed by the <br /> I , DHS.. All analyses were performed by Mobile Chem Labs , Inc. , <br /> of Lafayette, California . <br /> ROGER FOOTT ASSOCIATES, INC. <br />
