Casey Foley <br /> January 29, 1991 <br /> Page 2 <br /> On May 23 , 1990 , Roger Foot:t Associates, Inc. observed <br /> R removal of one waste oil tank and one leaded gasoline tank <br /> and collected soil samples from beneath the tanks . On June <br /> r5, 1990 , Roger Foott Associates , Inc . collected one soil <br /> sample from'below a former joint in the product dispensing <br /> x <br /> line. <br /> Soil sample 5-8. 5-1 was collected from below the former <br /> i waste oil tank at an approximate depth of 8 . 5 ft below <br /> grade, or roughly 2 ft below the base of and below the fill <br /> port of the former tank. Samples S -13-2 and 5-15-3 were <br /> collected from the base of the t nk cavity after excavating <br /> F <br /> below the former gasoline tank with the backhoe at the <br /> turbine (north) and fill port (south) ends of the tank, <br /> respectively. Sample S-2-4 was collected from the base of a ' <br /> F . trench below the location of a joint in the former product <br /> delivery line. The sample was collected at a depth of <br /> Fapproximately 2 ft below surface grade. <br /> FSample 5-8 . 5-1 was tested for total extractable <br /> petroleum hydrocarbons (modified Environmental Protection <br /> F�+ . Agency (EPA) Method 8015, extraction by EPA Method 3550) ; <br /> ,, for benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and total xylene isomers <br /> (BTEX) (EPA Method 8020) ; for organochlorine pesticides and <br /> Fpolychlorinated biphenyls (PCB) EPA Method 8080) ; for <br /> organic lead using methods recommended by the California <br /> Department of Health Services (DHS) , and for the heavy <br /> metals cadmium, chromium, lead, and zinc (using atomic <br /> Fadsorption methods) . Samples 5-13-2 , 5-15-3, and S-2-4 were <br /> f <br /> tested for total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPHg) <br /> (modified EPA Method 8015, extraction by EPA Method 3550) ; <br /> k ` for BTEX (EPA Method 8020) ; and for tetraethyl lead (TEL) <br /> and ethylene dibromide (EDB) using methods prescribed by the <br /> FDHS.- All analyses were performed by Mobile Chem Labs, Inc. , <br /> of Lafayette, California. <br /> Fi <br /> F ROGER FOOTT ASSOCIATES, INC. <br />
