' Q UARTERLY REPORT <br /> April 1995 <br /> Art& Artists <br /> 204 East Lodi Avenue <br />' Lodi, CA <br />' L0. INTRODUCTION <br /> In accordance with a request from Ms. Mary Lehr, Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (AGE) has <br />' prepared this Quarterly Report of ground water monitoring activities for the second quarter of 1995 <br /> at 204 East Lodi Avenue in Lodi, California(the site). The monitoring is performed in accordance <br /> with Tri-Regional Board guidelines for the investigation of underground storage tank(UST) sites. <br />' The location of the site is illustrated in Figure 1. A plan of the site is illustrated in Figure,2. <br />' 2.0. BACKGROUND <br /> 2.1. TANK REMOVAL <br />' One 550-gallon UST was removed from the site in January 1987 by Thorpe Oil, Inc. The UST <br /> contained leaded gasoline, and was located inside the on-site structure, near the building's southeast <br /> corner (Figure 2). Total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH g), toluene and xylenes were detected in a <br /> soil samples collected from beneath the UST at concentrations of 1,400 mg/kg, 270 mg/kg and 18 <br />' mg/kg, respectively. Subsequently, the San Joaquin County Public Health Services -Environmental <br /> Health Division (PHS-EHD) required further investigation at the site to determine if ground water <br /> had been impacted by the release. <br /> 2.2. SITE ASSESSMENT <br />' In July 1987 three ground water monitoring wells (MW-1, MW-2 and MW-3) were installed at the <br /> site by Weiss Associates. Subsequently, wells MW-2 and MW-3 went "dry' because water levels <br />' dropped below the screened intervals. <br /> To replace wells MW-2 and MW-3, two additional monitoring wells (MW-4 and MW-5) were <br />' installed at the site by Geological Audit Services, Inc. (GeoAudit) in January 1992. In April 1993, <br /> three additional wells(MW-6, MW-7 and MW-8) were installed by GeoAudit to define the limits of <br /> impacted ground water at the site. Well installation procedures and results were detailed in a Problem <br /> Assessment Report dated January 1994, prepared by GeoAudit. <br /> Soil samples collected during the installation of MW 1 through MW-8 indicated that impacted soil <br />' was limited to the vicinity of the former tank. <br />
