The samples were collected in 40-m1 EPA vials and placed
in a chilled container. The samples were transported under chain-of-custody to Alpha
' Analytical Laboratories (AAL) in Ukiah, California. All samples were analyzed for total
petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH as gasoline) and volatile aromatics (BTE&X) in accordance
with EPA methods 5030/8015m and 602 respectively.
4.0 FINDINGS
4.1 Groundwater Elevation and Gradient
' The relative elevation of the groundwater in each well was calculated by subtracting the
groundwater depth from the surveyed casing elevation (Table 1). The data indicate that
' groundwater has dropped an average of 2.11 feet in wells since the June 1994 monitoring
event. This follows normal seasonal trends. Groundwater flow continues to slope to the
south at a similar overall gradient to the gradient observed in March and June 1994 (Figure
' 3). A mounding effect is still present near MW-1. However, the prominence of this mound
has decreased since the June monitoring.
' Qeebpal Auda Services,fen L
Art R Arteu OMO- WL6
47
