Lodi Ave. <br /> Lodi, CA ENVIRONMENTAL HDaq <br /> PERMIT/SERVICES <br /> 1. 0 INTRODUCTION <br /> In accordance with a request from Mr. James DeMera of Mullen, <br /> Sullivan and- Newton (MSN) , Geological Audit Services, Inc. <br /> (GeoAudit) has installed three groundwater monitoring wells on the <br /> property located at 204 E. Lodi Avenue in Lodi, California (the <br /> site) . This report summarizes the installation procedures and <br /> presents the results of soil and groundwater sampling. In addition, <br />' three of the five previously existing wells on the site were <br /> monitored and sampled, and this report includes the groundwater <br /> data from those wells. Monitoring wells MW-2 and MW-3 contained <br /> only enough water to measure the groundwater depth; therefore no <br /> water samples were collected from these wells. <br /> 2 .0 BACKGROUND <br /> 2.1 Site Location <br /> The site is located in a flat, commercial/residential area of <br /> central Lodi. The location of the site is illustrated in Figure 1. <br /> A plan of the site is illustrated in Figure 2 . <br /> 11 2.2 Previous Investigations <br /> f <br /> Assessment of groundwater contamination at this site as a result of <br /> a former leaking underground gasoline storage tank has been ongoing <br /> since 1987. Three monitoring wells were installed by Weiss <br /> Associates in that year. Two monitoring wells were installed and <br /> sampled by GeoAudit in June 1992 . <br /> Three of the five wells at the site were monitored in October 1992 . <br /> Monitoring wells 14W-2 and MW-3 were dry and could not be sampled. <br /> Three additional wells were installed and sampled in April 1993 in <br /> order to define the lateral extent of groundwater contamination. <br /> 2.3 Regulatory Meetings) <br /> On March 17, 1993 , a meeting with the San Joaquin County Public <br /> Health Servi[-PS - _F.nvi rnt-m_anta_1 14na1 th Tli v; �i r " lnue /L-un\ I <br /> arranged to discuss the need for additional monitoring wells at the <br /> site.
