5 August 1992
(GeoAudit CV 30-34E3-1.47)
the former UST. Data from 1987 indicates that contamination
was present to the east. Due to the present lack of water in
MW-3 , it is uncertain whether contamination is still present
. to the east of the former UST, but abandonment of City of Lodi
' Well #1 may have allowed the contaminated groundwater to
reverse its flow direction.
RECOMMENDATIONS
In her 3 January 1992 letter to Mrs. Mary Lehr, Ms. Laurie Catulla
of the San Joaquin PHS/EHD notified Ms. Lehr that a minimum of two
additional monitoring wells would be necessary to define the extent
of, soil and groundwater contamination. The results obtained to date
indicate that the extent of soil contamination has been addressed
and is limited to the former tank cavity. However, to fully define
the extent of groundwater contamination, it will be necessary to
drill at least two additional wells.
W One well should be located near the northwest corner of the Arts &
Artists' building to determine whether contamination has migrated
under the building in a northwest direction. A second well should
be installed to the southwest of MW-5, near Stockton Street, to
define any contamination in a direction.
LIMITATIONS
Our professional services were performed using that degree of care
' and skill ordinarily exercised by environmental consultants
' practicing in this or similar localities. The findings were mainly
based on analytical results provided by an independent laboratory.
Evaluations of the geologic conditions at the site for the purpose
of this investigation are made from a limited number of available
data points. No other warranty, expressed or implied, is made as to
' the professional recommendations contained in this report.
Ir
r
.lk
