1 <br /> ' 15 <br /> • October 1997 <br /> AGE-NC Project No 95-0112 <br /> Page 2 of 4 <br /> ' custody, to Alpha Analytical Laboratories (AAL) in Ukiah All samples were analyzed for total <br /> petroleum hydrocarbons quantified as gasolene(TPH-g)In accordance with method 5 03 0,for volatile <br /> aromatics (benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and xylenes, BTE&X) in accordance with EPA method <br /> 602, and for volatile organic compounds with oxygenated compounds in accordance with EPA <br /> methods 8015m and 8260 <br /> 30 FINDINGS <br /> ' 3 1 GROUND WATER ELEVATION AND FLOW DIRECTION <br /> ' Between April and July 1997, ground water elevation decreased an average of 2 63 feet Ground <br /> water continues to remain below the tops of the screened intervals in all monitoring wells at the site <br /> The relative ground water elevation data is given in Table 1 As in previous monitoring events, <br /> ' ground water mounding was observed during the July monitoring event The ground water flow <br /> direction remained southerly Relative ground water elevations for July 1997 ate depicted In Figure <br /> • 3 <br /> ' 3 2 LABORATORY ANALYSIS OF GROUND WATER SAMPLES <br /> TPH-g was detected in the ground water sample collected from MW-1 at a concentration of 194 parts <br /> ' per billion(ppb,reported as micrograms per liter) BTE&X were detected in MW-1 at concentrations <br /> of 0 35 ppb, 0 33 ppb, 2 5 ppb and 6 2 ppb, respectively Petroleum hydrocarbons were not detected <br /> in any other samples collected from the site during the July 1997 monitoring event <br /> 1 Bromomethane, 1,2-dichloroethane (DCA), n-propylbenzene, 1,2,4- and 1,3,5-trim ethY lbenzene <br /> were detected In the sample collected from MW-I at concentrations of 10 ppb, 14 ppb, 2 4 ppb, 16 <br /> ' ppb and 7 1 ppb, respectively Dichlorodifluoromethane was detected in the samples collected from <br /> MW-4 and MW-6 at concentrations of 1 5 ppb and 12 ppb, respectively DCA was detected in MW- <br /> 5 at a concentration of 7 1 ppb No other volatile organic compounds were detected in the samples <br />' collected Oxygenated compounds, including MTBE were not detected at the site The analytical <br /> results of current and previous water samples are summarized in Tables 2 and 3 The laboratory <br />' report(AAL, Batch No 97-0731-002) and chain-of-custody form are included in Appendix B <br />' 4 0.
