INTRODUCTION <br /> In accordance with a request from Ms Mary Lehr, Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE) has <br /> prepared this Remediation Progress Report of field activities conducted at 204 East Lodi Avenue, <br /> Lodi, California Two soil probe borings (probings) were installed to February 1997 Z he location <br /> of the site and surroundings are illustrated in Figure 1 - Location Map Structures, well and boring <br /> locations on the site are illustrated in Figure 2 -Site Plan <br /> The above-mentioned activities were performed in accordance with guidelines for investigation of <br /> underground storage tank (UST) sites established by the San Joaquin County - Public Health <br /> Services - Environmental Health Division (PHS-EHD) and the Central Valley Regional Water <br /> Quality Control Board(CVRWQCB) Background information is summanzed in the April 1996 and <br /> ' previous Quarterly Reports <br /> r2 0. PROCEDURES <br /> 2 1 PROBING AND SAMPLING <br /> On 26 February 1997, two soil probe borings (probings) were advanced at the site using AGES <br /> Geoprobe 5400 probing unit equipped with 1 25-inch diameter probe rods and a 2 15-inch diameter <br /> soil sampling assembly Probing P4 was advanced three feet north of MW-1, probing P5 was <br /> advanced approximately 4 feet north of the former UST location, south of P2 Each prob.ng was <br /> 1 advanced to a total depth of 55 feet below surface grade (bsg) Probing locations are shown on <br /> Figure 2 <br /> Soil samples were collected at 5 foot intervals, beginning at 5 feet bsg, for the total depth of each <br /> ' probing All samples were collected using the Geo robe soil sampling assembly loaded with four <br /> ' brass sleeves After collection, the ends of the second brass sleeve were covered with aluminum <br /> sheets, capped and sealed with tape The sleeves were labeled, placed in a chilled container and <br /> transported to Alpha Analytical Laboratories (AAL) under chain-of-custody <br /> All probing-rods,sampling tools and sample liners used for sample collectioLn were thoroughly rinsed <br /> with clean water after washing with a solution of Alconox between each sampling run All probings. <br /> ' were backfilled over their entire depth with Portland Cement <br /> 1 <br />
