DTSC hereby grants conditional approval as the workplan meets the objectives
set by DTSC's request of August 1, 1996; however, DTSC would like the following
additional requirements incorporated into the workplan:
• Six (6) additional soil vapor sampling points be included north of and along the
six (6) inch sanitary sewer line. The additional sampling points are identified
on the enclosed Figure 3 revision of the subject document. As noted on
Figure 3, two (2) locations were deleted in lieu of the new required locations.
• At least three (3) additional soil vapor samples be collected within the area
identified in Figure 2 of the workplan as the former Insurance, Tax, Real Estate
and Beauty Shop structure. Photos taken of this area indicate that the area was
once unpaved open space. Samples collected in this area are necessary to
determine if disposal of perchloroethylene was made directly to the ground in
+this area.
• Verification must be provided which shows that in fact Norge Laundry &
Cleaning and Deluxe Dry Cleaners operated within the same physical location
and/or structure as indicated in the workplan. Official records such as
city/county assessment or property tax records identifying each business' actual
location, or any other documentation showing the same, will suffice.
DTSC would like to thank you for your timely response to the
August 1, 1996 request. Please submit the revised workplan to us by
October 28, 1996. DTSC would like to be notified at least five (5) days prior to
implementing the approved workplan.
L
