INTRODUCTION
Live Oak GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (Live Oak) was contracted by Suzan Nihad to conduct
a Nitrate Loading Study for her property located at 6599 East Foppiano Lane, Stockton,
California. A minor subdivision is proposed to divide the Site into two parcels.
Because of concerns of nitrate leaching into ground water from septic systems, a nitrate
loading analysis was required by the San Joaquin County Environmental Health
Department for approval of the proposed development. The study estimates the
potential concentration of percolating effluent produced by the proposed project over the
long term. Where percolating effluent leaches into the ground, ground-water quality
may be impacted to some degree should the effluent reach the aquifer.
The formatting of the report has been designed to follow the recommendations of the
San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department as described in its Nitrate
Loading Study Requirements Checklist.
Site Description
The Assessor's Parcel Number (APN) for the Site is 086-410-20, approximately 5.4
acres in size. It is located at 6599 East Foppiano Lane, Stockton, California (Plate 1).
The Site is a wooded and landscaped residential property with two houses, a garage,
and three storage buildings. A domestic well provides water to the Site. (Plate 2).
A minor subdivision is proposed to divide the Site into two parcels (Plate 3). Parcel 1
will be 2.90 acres, and Parcel 2 will be 2.55 acres. Ms. Nihad indicated that no new
construction is planned (personal communication, April 12, 2019).
LOGE 1916 Page 1
