INTRODUCTION AND PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT
Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (AGE) has prepared this Soil Suitability and Nitrate
Loading Studyfor the property located at the intersection of California State Highway 120
and French Camp Road, Ripon, California (site or subject property). The purpose of this
study is to determine the potential impact from nitrate loading and the suitability of the
subsurface for an onsite wastewater treatment system (OWTS) due to the proposed
addition of a residence, septic system, and future use of the property. The study was
performed in accordance with the requirements of Section 9-1105.2(d) of the San Joaquin
County Community Development Department. The scope of work included a soil
percolation test, groundwater sampling of the onsite domestic water well, review of
published soil and groundwater information, local septic use and permit research, and
estimated nitrate impact to soil and groundwater at the site. The site and surrounding
area are illustrated in Figure 1. A site plan depicting structures, the percolation test hole
location, a domestic water well location, and the planned locations of the proposed
residence and septic system are illustrated in Figure 2.
1.1.
