The Work Plan was submitted on February 4, 2009 <br /> by Stantec Consulting Corporation (Stantec) on behalf of Pacific Gas and Electric Company <br /> (PG&E). The Work Plan presents procedures for abandoning two former water wells at the <br /> Site. DTSC and PG&E have entered into a Voluntary Cleanup Agreement (VCA), Docket No. <br /> HSA-VCA 06/07-182, for oversight and reimbursement of activity at the Site. <br /> DTSC made comments to the Work Plan in an email from Jim Rohrer, DTSC Engineering <br /> Geologist, on March 23, 2009. Stantec replied to those comments in a letter dated April 28, <br /> 2009. The reply contained additional requirements for perforation and grouting of the well <br /> casing. It also includod the option of drilling a boring adjacent to the abandoned wells to <br /> collect grab groundw ter samples if necessary. DTSC has accepted the response from <br /> Stantec and approves the Work Plan, with the additional requirements, for implementation. <br /> Thank you for your opportunity to review the Well Abandonment Work Plan.
