September 17 2003 <br /> �l I Umber 18040K01 <br /> Groundwater Sample Analysis <br /> Halcyon Laboratories, Inc., a State of California-certified analytical laboratory, will analyze <br /> the groundwater samples for VOCs using EPA Method 8260b. The allowable holding time <br /> for the analysis is fourteen (14) days. The VOC detection limit will be 0.5 Ng/L. <br /> Purae Water Handling and Disposal <br /> Purge water from groundwater monitoring and sampling will be temporarily stored in a <br /> portable tank pending transport and disposal. The wastewater will subsequently be <br /> transported to a properly licensed and permitted disposal facility by a properly licensed and <br /> permitted transporter under appropriate manifests. <br /> Waste Soil.Handling and Disposal <br /> Soil cuttings generated during drilling operations will immediately be stored in a roll-off bin <br /> located at the Site. Upon completion of the drilling activities, the binned soils will be profiled <br /> and disposed of at a properly licensed and certified disposal facility. Waste soil cuttings will <br /> be transported under appropriate waste manifests by a properly licensed and certified <br /> transporter. <br /> Land Survey of Well Locations <br /> In accordance with California Assembly Bill 2886 (AB 2886) all new wells will be surveyed <br /> for longitude and latitude to sub-meter accuracy as well as location based on the state plane <br /> coordinate system. In addition, the final elevations will be surveyed from the north side top <br /> of casing (TOC) to 0.01-foot accuracy. <br /> Draft RIFS Workplan <br /> The data generated during this study will be incorporated into a draft RIFS Workplan. Soil <br /> gas, soil, and groundwater chemical data will be used to further assess the vertical and <br /> lateral extent of VOC contamination associated with the Busy Bee site. The data will be <br /> used in support of the decision making process in the RIFS Workplan.
