INFORMATION SHEET
EL RANCHO ROCK AND SAND, INC. , ET.AL.
SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY
El Rancho Rock and Sand, Inc. will be operating a rock and sand excavation and
processing plant on 480 acres of land owned by members of the Purviance family.
The property is on the eastern edge of San Joaquin county, near the Calaveras
river. E1 Rancho Rock and Sand, Inc. will be excavating an anticipated 500,000
cubic yards per year of near surface rock and sand deposits from approximately 240
of the 480 acres. All excavation will remain above the water table.
The wastewater from the washing operations will be discharged to a series of
sedimentation/recycle ponds. Fines generated will be periodically removed and
disposed on-site.
The site will be designed to have surface water runoff contained on-site.
Wastewater sedimentation/recycle ponds will be designed to contain washwaters,
sediments, and rainfall from a 24-hour storm with a return frequency of 100 years.
PHL:mdm
