's (GTI) proposed procedures for continued investigation of a <br /> xr suspected subsurface hydrocarbon loss at the former Exxon Service <br /> Stati:in located at 909 West Hammer Lane in Stockton, California. <br /> c A leak of an unknown quantity of gasoline ins suspected to have <br /> 4 occurred in the ar :a of the underground tanks , ` A <br /> round fuel storage <br /> site sketch showing the underground tank and piping locations is <br /> . . provided for your. reference (gee Figure 1) • <br /> The purpose of this investigation is to further define the <br /> 3whr extent and magnitude of the impact to roils and groundwater. The <br /> following procedures outline GTI's methodology in conducting the 9 <br /> ;_.investigation. <br /> Z Two deep soil borings will be drilled to define the vertical <br /> extent of sail contamination and permit the construction of <br /> r 3 groundwater monitoring wells to evaluate the impact on the <br /> shallow groundwater system. The site sketch shows the <br /> proposed location of <br /> the two borings (see Figure 1) . <br /> z , <br /> 2: The monitoring wells will be constructed of 4 inch machine <br /> slotted PVC screen and casing installed 'within a ;10-inch <br /> ter„ 4, <br /> borehole . (see Figure 2) '.
