INTRODUCTION AND SCOPE OF PREVIOUS WORK <br /> At the request of Exxon Company, U.S.A. , EA has investigated soil <br /> and groundwater contamination at former Exxon Retail Site 7-1050 <br /> in Stockton, California. This work plan provides a summary and <br /> analysis of previous investigations of the site by EA and others <br /> and incorporates recent groundwater data not previously reported. <br /> A work plan describing the proposed drilling and sampling of <br /> three additional soil borings is also included. <br /> 1 . 1 SITE SETTING AND BACKGROUND <br /> The site is located on the northwest corner of West Hammer Lane <br /> t <br /> s <br /> and Lower Sacramento Road, Stockton, California (Figure 1 ) . The <br /> "i tanks, pump islands, associated piping, and buildings have all <br /> been removed,. 'and the excavations filled and graded. Groundwater <br /> s Technology, Inc. (GTI ) supervised demolition and tank removal at <br /> this site, including the installation of five groundwater tnoni- <br /> r <br /> toting wells. . The site .is now being rented out for seasonal <br /> business such as Christmas tree sales and pumpkin patches by Tim <br /> Ambrose Enterprises in Stockton.
