- - s emM— Mvllftmw
t
,. (for SB5-SB7,drilled by EA). Concentrations of TPH and BTEX less than 2 mg/kg have been
measured in soil samples.
Steil Vapor Surveys
L' Two soil vapor surveys have been conducted at this site one b EA in 1987 and one b EVAX
F Y Y Y
€ in 1990. The EVAX results indicated the presence of up to 19,000 ppm of TVH in the soil vapor
beneafl the formes tank field. These results were used by EVAX to design and propose a soil
senting remedial plan.
5. STATUS OF SOIL REMEDIATION
On behalf of E:ixon,EVAX Technologies has filed a soil venting work plan with the San Jaa
chain C'ounry Environmental Health Department. Pending approval of this work plan,EVAX
plans to construct a system to extract and treat soil vapors from the subsurface.
6. STATUS OF FREE PRODUCT PLUME DEFINITION
Free product has not been detected at the site, nor is its presence suggested by the concentrations
of the hydrocarbons in the groundwater.
7. STATUS OF FREE PRODUCT PLUME DEFINITION
Free product remediation is not required.
S. STATUS OF DISSOLVED CONSTITUENT PLUME DEFINITION
Groundwater sampling has been done on an approximately quarterly schedule since late 1986.
S
Groundwater sampled from well MW3 during this time has contained higher concentrations of
petrolenna constituents than water from the other four wells (Table 3). .Because MW3. (now
replaced by lMl'W6)is surrounded by the other four well Iocations and no concentrations of TPH
greater than 50µg/L and no concentrations.of BTEX greater than 0.5 gg/L have been detected in
the outlying wells, the dissolved constituent plume appears to remain limited to the area immedi-
fi ately around MW3(and MW6),directly beneath the former:tankfield (Figure 2). -- - .
t= 9. STATUS OF DISSOLVED CONSTITUENT REMEDIATION
Groundwater remediation is not currently planned.
10. WN17ER LEVEL RECORDS AND GRADIENT DETERMINATIONS
1 ' The depth to groundwater in each well was measured at the time of sampling, using an optical
interface probe. Groundwater elevations were calculated using these data and top-of-casing
+, e42n1050/ OY/txt 3
..
