3"
iF
tti
MOM
1
4. SUMMARY OF REVISED PAR
Since the previous version of the Problem Assessment Report (PAR)
for the site of former Exxon RS 7-1050, 909 W. Hammer Lane,
Stockton, was prepared, two quarterly samplings have been carried
out. The information from those samplings has had an effect on
the responses to concerns expressed by the San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Division and the Central Valley Regional
Water Quality Control Board. The responses have been included in
Chapter 1 of this revised PAR.
Additio0al water gauging at the site since August 1969 indicates
that. the groundwater elevation is currently rising. Results of
the analysis of samples collected from the groundwater wells in
December. .1989 and: February 1990are largely consistent with
trends in contaminant concentrations established over the last
two 'years. An exception' is that: water collected from MW4 on 14 '
February 1990 was found to contain benzene at a concentration of
'ug/L, ' for the first' time since June 1987. . This. sainple may '
not-have been representative of the groundwater. outside ,the -well,
( i
casing; as it was highly turbid. and MW4 could not -be properly }
purged before-',the samples were. collected (nor could ,MW5) {
. - - f y
' e35/77050/2-90/tx 26.
.. _
4
