The southwest portion of the
_ >` WWTP is shown in the aerial
photograph to the left. The
area west of Holly Drive was
go.L. removed from background
' • { 'T_ ' " ' well location consideration
because of the extensive light
=i=?' The
City does not own any
9rtri.• ` T property between I-205 and
West Larch Road. Installation
x" of a background well in this
area would require obtaining
an agreement for well
installation and continued
City access to the monitoring
well for routine sampling.
Installing a well along the Holly
Drive easement is not possible
because Holly Drive is elevated
immediately south of West Larch ,
Road(see photograph at right). F
There is not enough room between "+
the raised road bed and the +
residential property line for vehicle Y
access. In addition,there are
overhead power lines along the
property line that could make
monitoring well installation
difficult. -
Because of the difficulty in -
identifying alternate background
well locations,the City requests
the CVRWQCB approve one of
two approaches:
1. Proceed with the installation of a background well at the proposed location. If the
CVRWQCB is not satisfied that this well would be considered'background',then this
well would not be installed.
2. Consider BW-2 and BW-6 as background wells. As discussed above, these wells would
be sampled every quarter during the next two years to increase the background data to
