EXTEND 2, Proper and diligent monitoring and maintenance will maximize the life of
O TO BOTTOM ON this system and is required. Monitoring & maintenance guidelines were
PIT prepared for this system and were submitted with these plans to the 1`
original owner; these guidelines must be understood and implemented for J
'6
the system to function reliably. All subsequent owners must secure a
o5Po5i! TNc ScToNS copy of, understand, and implement the monitoring and maintenance
guidelines or this design will be considered invalid.
_...... 3. This system is designed to accommodate a finite quantity of domestic
481------- NO7 TO SCALE wastewater generated by a single--family dwelling. Non—residential
wastewater will not be treated properly by this system and will damage its
components. Wastewater generation exceeding the daily design flow rate
listed elsewhere on these plans is likely to damage the system or cause o
failure and is strictly prohibited.
4. All toilets and shower heads connected to this system must meet the
i following specifications: toilets shall have a maximum flush rate of 1.6
gallons per flush; shower heads shall have a maximum flow rate of 2.5
gallons per minute.
5. Garbage disposal units will increase the need for septic tank pumping, will
increase the treatment load on the system, and will likely reduce the
system's functional life. These units, therefore, are strongly discouraged.
6_ Recreational vehicle holding tank chemicals can damage this systems
microbiology and must not be discharged into the system.
7. The creation of cut banks below the disposal or replacement areas
increases the possibility of interception and surfacing of migrating effluent
and should always be avoided. Cut banks below the disposal or
replacement areas are created solely at the risk of the owner. j
8. The disturbance of native soils within or below the disposal or I
replacement areas increases the possibility of soil structure damage and R
may lead to disposal field failure. Disturbance of native soils within or tC}
below the disposal or replacement areas by any means including _ 0
vehicular traffic, grading, livestock, etc. is prohibited and will invalidate O m m
this design. 03 C
ti cr7 a O
E
INSTALLER'S RESPONSIBILITIES °,
m Q
1. Construction of this septic may be undertaken only after obtaining a Q 0 O q
permit from the regulatory outhority(ies). The owner and/or installer of this system
is/are solely responsible for identifying and obtaining any other
permits which may be required for construction of this system_
2. Inspections during construction by the designer and, in some cases,
the regulatory authority, ore required. The installer and/or owner
are solely responsible for contacting the designer and/or regulatory
authority at least 24 hours in advance of each required inspection.
Every effort will be made to respond within 24 hours, however O
additional notice may sometimes be required.
3. Q O
6, If the soil in the disposal area can be formed into a ribbon it is too W
wet to excavate. Do not remove vegetation, operate equipment, or
otherwise manipulate soils in the disposal area until receiving
approval from the designer.
7. Disturbance of native soils in the disposal and/or replacement areas Pct 1sr
and for a distance of 50 feet below the disposal or replacement
areas may damage the permeability of the soil column and cause
premature system failure. Do not allow vehicular traffic, construction r`"PJC) do
equipment, or livestock in the area within or below the disposal or
CD
replacement areas.
