Monitoring & maintenance guidelines were
prepared for this system and were submitted with these plans to the
original owner; these guidelines must be understood and implemented for
the system to function reliably. All subsequent owners must secure a
4915P0 Al- T z ff1 C1-1 ,5CT10 ,5 copy of, understand, and implement the monitoring and maintenance
J /✓ / , ` V / / V guidelines or this design will be considered invalid.
48'- _..._.... ._._-._ __.._...._ 3. This system is designed to accommodate a finite quantity of domestic
NOT TO 5CALE wastewater generated by a single-family dwelling. Non-residential
wastewater will not be treated properly by this system and will damage its
components. Wastewater generation exceeding the daily design flow rate `J
listed elsewhere on these plans is likely to damage the system or cause
failure and is strictly prohibited. o
4. Aii toilets and shower heads connected to this system must meet the
following specifications: toilets shall have a maximum flush rate of 1.6
gallons per flush; shower heads shall have a maximum flow rate of 2.5
gallons per minute.
5. Garbage disposal units will increase the need for septic tank pumping, will
increase the treatment load on the system, and will likely reduce the
system's functional life. These units, therefore, are strongly discouraged.
6. Recreational vehicle holding tank chemicals can damage this system's
microbiology and must not be discharged into the system.
7. The creation of cut banks below the disposal or replacement areas
increases the possibility of interception and surfacing of migrating effluent
and should always be avoided. Cut banks befow the disposal or
replacement areas are created solely at the risk of the owner.
8, The disturbance of native soils within or below the disposal or
replacement areas increases the possibility of soil structure damage and C13
may lead to disposal field failure. Disturbance of native soils within or
below the disposal or replacement areas by any means including p
vehicular traffic, grading, livestock, etc. is prohibited and will invalidate
this design. Ll
O O
INSTALLER'S RESPONSIBILITIES W
w -•
1. Construction of this septic may be undertaken only after obtaining a Q W iyj
permit from the regulatory authority(ies). Do not begin construction S ❑ ❑ ❑ rl ct
prior to approval of this design and issuance of a permit by the
regulatory outhority(ies). The owner and/or installer of this system
is/are solely responsible for identifying and obta;ning any other
permits which may be required for construction of this system.
2. Inspections during construction by the designer and, in some cases,
the regulatory outhorAy, are required. The installer and/or owner
are solely responsible for contacting the designer and/or regulatory
authority at least 24 hours in advance of each required inspection.
Every effort will be made to respond within 24 hours, however C)
additional notice may sometimes be required. Do not remove vegetation, operate equipment, or C', Lo
otherwise manipulate soils in the disposal area until receiving
approval from the designer.
7. Disturbance of native soils in the disposal and/or replacement areas
and for a distance of 50 feet below the disposal or replacement aP
areas may damage the permeability of the soil column and cause
premature system failure. Do not allow vehicular traffic, construction
equipment, or livestock in the area within or below the disposal or
replacement areas. `
8.
