The formatting of this report <br /> has been designed to follow, to the greatest degree possible, EHD Soil Suitability Study <br /> Requirements Checklist, dated September 25, 2007, and Nitrate Loading Study Requirements <br /> Checklist, dated July 14, 2003. <br /> 1.0 SOIL SUITABILITY STUDY <br /> 1.1 Introduction and Development <br /> The Soil Suitability Study (SSS) was conducted to determine whether site soils are suitable for <br /> septic system usage. The study was performed according to the requirements of Section 9- <br /> 1105.2(d) of the San Joaquin County Development code. A major element of the field work <br /> included conducting percolation tests that meet absorption rates as specified by San Joaquin <br /> County, Public Health Services, Environmental Health Department (EHD). A review of published <br /> soil information, geologic maps, and groundwater information was also performed. <br /> 1.1.1 Site Description <br /> The site is located on an approximately 2.07-acre tract of land located at 16327 Diablo Court, <br /> Tracy, California, San Joaquin County, California, Assessor Parcel Number (APN) 209-370-19. <br /> The site is improved with an approximately 3,119 square foot (SF) five-bedroom and two- <br /> bathroom residence with septic system, approximately 840 SF storage unit, utilities, landscaping, <br /> and a swimming pool. <br /> According to the San Joaquin County Community Development Department website the site is <br /> zoned rural residential (R/R) which is intended for large rural homesites with individual water <br /> supply, sewage disposal, and storm water drainage. <br /> According to the United States Geological Survey(USGS) California Quadrangles include Clifton <br /> Courte Forebay (1978), Union Island (1978), Midway (1980), and Tracy (1981). The elevation of <br /> the site is between approximately 100 to 105 feet above mean sea level with a topographic <br /> gradient generally sloping towards the northeast.
