Leach lines are primarily 100 feet in length. One of the properties utilizes 40 foot long
leach lines with seepage pits approximately 8 feet in depth.
1.3.6 Septic Repair Permit History in the Vicinity
Septic repairs in the vicinity appear to be for replacement of septic tanks and the addition of leach
lines. The septic repair permits can be found in Appendix C of this report.
1.3.7 Expected On-Site Maximum Septic Tank Usage
The site is currently developed with a 3,119 SF five bedroom residence with septic system and is
proposed to be developed with an approximately 1,400 SF three bedroom two bathroom mobile
home and additional septic system. Per conversations with EHD representatives, 70-gallons of
waste per person/day with an average potential occupancy of two persons per bedroom was used
to calculate maximum septic tank usage of 1,120-gallons per day which includes 700 gallons per
day for the existing residence plus 420 gallons per day for the proposed residence. Refer to
Section 2.3.4.1.
1.4 Groundwater Information
1.4.1 Groundwater Depth and Gradient
Groundwater was not encountered in our percolation test holes excavated to a depth of 3.5 feet
below grade surface (bgs) on February 5, 2019. According to the San Joaquin County Flood
Control and Water Conservation District Groundwater Report (SJCWCD) Lines of Equal Depth to
Groundwater Spring and Fall 2015 to 2016, groundwater depth lies between approximately 40
and 60 feet bgs. The groundwater flow direction and the depth to shallow, unconfined
groundwater, if present, would likely vary depending upon seasonal variations in rainfall and other
Responsive■ Resourceful ■ Reliable 6
