SOIL SUITABILITY STUDY <br /> Introduction <br /> Live Oak GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (Live Oak) was contracted by Abel Patino to conduct <br /> a Soil Suitability Study and Nitrate Loading Study for the property located at 23848 <br /> North Pearl Road, Acampo, California (Plate 1). <br /> The Soil Suitability Study and Nitrate Loading Study are combined under this report <br /> cover and presented as two sections of this report. The formatting of the report has <br /> been designed to follow the recommendations of the San Joaquin County <br /> Environmental Health Department as described in its Soil Suitability Study <br /> Requirements Checklist and Nitrate Loading Study Requirements Checklist. <br /> The Soil Suitability Study and Nitrate Loading Study were conducted to determine <br /> whether the soils are suitable for use with a septic system, as well as to estimate if the <br /> use of septic systems will impact ground water quality. The study was performed <br /> according to the requirements of Section 9-1105.2(d) of the San Joaquin County <br /> Development code. <br /> Proposed Development <br /> Mr. Patino indicated that a new three-bedroom home will be constructed on the t)�X� <br /> (Plate 2). <br /> Site Description <br /> The Site is defined as Assessor's Parcel Number (APN) 007-270-02, approximately , <br /> 2.66 acres in size. The Site is located at 23848 North Pearl Road, Acampo. <br /> A three-bedroom home, a former dog kennel used for storage, a shop, a domestic well, <br /> and two septic systems are located on the Site (Plate 3). A small pond is located in the <br /> n6 ffieasf corner of the Sfte. <br /> The elevation elevation of the Site, according to a United States Geological Survey topographic <br /> map, is approximately 110 feet above mean sea level. The Site is relatively flat (Plate <br /> 4). <br /> According to the San Joaquin County Community Development Department <br /> (www.co.san-joaquin.ca.us), the Site is zoned AL-5, Limited Agriculture with a minimum <br /> parcel size of five acres. This zoning designation "is intended to recognize and <br /> preserve areas that contain existing concentrations of small-scale agricultural <br /> operations and dwellings." <br /> LOGE 1850 Page 1 <br />
