Lathrop Rd - Manteca - Cruisers #29 Open Violations
Attachments: Message from "savincolor531"
Hi Cesar,
I have attached service reports and test reports for various violations for the Manteca Valero BP 29 from the 9/7/2017
inspection. I will be emailing each one separately just to try and keep organized.
This attachment covers violations#206, 305, & 309.
Thank you,
Monica Farhat
From: Cesar Ruvalcaba [EH] [mailto:cruvalcaba@sjcehd.com]
Sent: Friday, April 27, 2018 2:22 PM
To: Monica Farhat; Rick Jewell
Subject: 1137 W. Lathrop Rd - Manteca - Cruisers #29 Open Violations
Attached is a list of open violations. After looking through the file and speaking to other inspectors that you have had
communication with regarding this site, I was able to close some violations. I have only reviewed the UST portion for
now since this is what may cause the issuance of a red tag for the facility. I have included a brief recap of why the
violation is open and what can be done to come into compliance.
Violation 101—Other violations are still open. Once site is in full compliance the permit will be issued and violation will
be resolved.
Violation 104, 105, 107 and —CERS still needs changes. Sent an email earlier with screen shots of required changes and
suggestions on how to fix issues.
Violation 206—Work orders found onsite indicate that sensors were replaced on 10/31/2016, 01/06/2017 and
01/16/2017. We are to be notified 48 hours in advance or, if considered an emergency, immediately after the
replacement of a like for like sensor. Our department has no record of notification for the sensors replaces on those
dates. A retrofit permit must be opened for the sensors. There will be a double fee for the permit. Once we receive the
service request for the retrofit permit and the permit is approved, the violation will be addressed.
Violation 305 and 309—A notification to the department for the replacement of sensor S6 could not be found. The
sensor failed testing during the annual monitoring system certification. If the sensor has been replaced, a retrofit permit
must be taken out for the replacement. There is a possibility that this may be done on the same service request as that
for violation 206, but additional testing may be required. If the sensor has not been replaced, notification can be given
to the department of when the it will be replaced, retesting witnesses by the department may be required.
1
