The S1 sensor was fixed on site but the S6 sensor could not be fixed. All monitoring
equipment shall be maintained to activate an audible and visual alarm or stop the flow of product at the dispenser
when it detects a leak. Correct immediately by having a properly licensed, trained, and certified contractor replace
the failed component with a functional component(LG 113-x listed, if applicable) and obtain a permit within one
business day from the EHD. If the failed component can't be replaced immediately, there is a possibility that the
UST system monitored by the S6 smart sensor may be red tagged to prevent fuel inputs.
This is a repeat violation, Class Il.
316 HSC 25290.1(c3), 25290.2(c3) Secondary containment not constructed to prevent water intrusion (after Jul 2003).
Water was found in the 91-octane STP, diesel STP, 87-octane fill and 91-octane fill sumps. Secondary containment
shall be constructed to prevent any water intrusion into the system by precipitation, infiltration, or surface runoff.
The service technician removed the following approximate amounts of liquid; 5 cups from the 91-octane STP sump,
10 cups from the diesel STP sump, 5 cups from the 87-octane fill sump and 1 cup from the 91-octane fill sump.
The lid gaskets on the 81 STP sump, diesel STP sump, and the Diesel fill sump were not present or were damaged.
Work order dated 10/28/2016 shows 30 gallons of liquid in the 87-octane fill sump and water actively leaking into the
sump. Immediately contact a properly licensed, trained, and certified contractor to address the water intrusion into
the above mentioned sumps under permit and inspection of the EHD.
This is a repeat violation, Class Il.
319 CCR 2635(b) No spill bucket, failed to contain five gallons, or failed to provide a means to keep it empty.
The 91-octane spill container failed when tested. All spill containers shall have a minimum capacity of five gallons
and be capable of containing a spill or overfill until it is detected or cleaned up. Immediately contact a properly
licensed, trained, and certified contractor to repair or replace the spill container under permit and inspection of the
EHD.
This is a repeat violation, Class II.
Overall Inspection Comments:
The is the official inspection report and replaces inspection list left on site on the day of the inspection. This
report supersedes any other reports or lists which are dated prior to this report.
What looked like a green garden water hose was observed in the diesel fill sump. The technician on site could
not confirm the type of hose that was observed. Confirm that the green hose in the disel fill sump is a part that
can be used in the UST system.
Complete and submit a copy of the Return to Compliance Certification form to the EHD with a statement
documenting the corrective actions that have been or will be taken for each violation, and any supporting
paperwork within 30 days of receiving the official inspection report.
FA0019793 PR0530093 SCO01 09/07/2017
EHD 23-01 Rev.09/22/16 Page 7 of 8 Underground Storage Tank Program OIR
