Main St. <br /> Stockton, CA 95202 , <br /> An ongoing underground tank (UGT) groundwater investigation at the above noted site has been in <br /> progress since July 1996. Groundwater samples from three (3) onsite monitoring wells in July 1996 <br /> indicated multiple detectable halogenated hydrocarbons in the two westerly wells (VM-1 and VM-2). <br /> The nine (9) HVOC constituents detected in the December 1996 event from the most westerly well <br /> (VM-1) indicate an increase in both constituents and concentrations since the July 1996 sampling <br /> event. <br /> Located just west and across'Grant Street and up-gradient from Valley Motors are two paint <br /> facilities, Downing Paint and Equipment Company, 27 S. Grant Street and Velvacon Paint Store, <br /> 706 E. Main Street. <br /> San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health Division is referring the paint <br /> facilities to you for investigation consideration after a phone conversation with Joel Weiss of your <br /> staff.
