{
NNW
INTRODUCTION
Mr. Roy Chitwood has retained Quality Control Inspection, Inc., to conduct a Surface and
Subsurface Contamination Report for the referenced properties. The attached Parcel Map
produced by Wong Engineers, Inc. illustrates the Parcels, indicated as Parcel 1 and Parcel 2 for
Site#1 and Parcel 1 and Parcel 2 for Site#2. According to the San Joaquin County
Development Title, a Surface and Subsurface Contamination Report(SSCR) must be performed
at the time of Tentative Map submittal. The purpose of this report was to investigate the subject
property for real or potential environmental contamination and report the findings to the Client
and the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department. This report complies with the
San Joaquin County Ordinance, specifically 9-905.12(a) for a "Surface and Subsurface
Contamination Report."
In addition, this report addresses and evaluates non-point sources of hazardous materials, as well
as potential point sources. Non-point sources of hazardous materials include agricultural
chemical residues and high concentration of nitrate laden groundwater or other contaminants
which may have originated from a wide area or volume. Point sources investigated include fuel
storage tanks, septic systems and/or chemical storage areas.
No chemical analysis was conducted for this investigation, nor was there an inspection of the
existing buildings for asbestos containing materials (ACMs) or other hazardous materials.
SITE DESCRIPTION
As illustrated on the attached Tentative Parcel map,the subject property consists of two separate
Parcels on two separate sites. It is currently zoned residential. The Parcels are rectangular in
shape and encompass an area of approximately 0.2 acres. The site is bordered to the north, west
and south by small residential homes and lots, and to the east by an open field and the East Side
Community Park. Farmland exists to the north, east and south of the general area. It is
extremely unlikely pesticide drift could impact the subject properties.
STANDARD PUBLIC ENVIRONMENTAL RECORD SOURCES
The Chain of Title report for the properties was not provided nor investigated. The age of the
residential structures indicates prior non-residential ownership occurred several decades ago.
State and Federal environmental records were reviewed for sites which may have impacted the
subject property. The databases accessed can be found in the Appendix, and are entitled "Site
Assessment Report". There are four sites within the one-half mile radius study area that were
investigated for possible impact to the subject properties. Referenced sites#1 and#2 are the
1
® Quality Control Inspection
