As shown on Figure
2, the site is mostly occupied by an office complex with parking adjacent to the building. The
proposed investigation will be limited to the subsurface conditions beneath the asphalted parking
area.
The Phase II investigation involves a Task 1 consisting of preparing and submitting this
workplan to San Joaquin County Public Health Service (SJCPHS) for approval, performing
approximately 4 soil borings and HydroPunch II groundwater sampling points using a mobile
drill rig. The purpose of this work is to assess the presence of hydrocarbon affected soil and
groundwater. The sampling will consist of collecting soil and groundwater samples at the
designated sampling points, preserving selected samples and transporting them to a California
certified analytical laboratory for analysis. ATEC will then compile the acquired data into a
preliminary contamination assessment report. This report will include a presentation of the data,
a site map depicting the sampling locations and site facilities, and a discussion with conclusions
and recommendations for further work, if needed. A copy of this report will be submitted to
SJCPHS.
DETAILED SCOPE OF WORK
Task 1 Work Plan Preparation:
1.1 Prepare a workplan for submittal to SJCPHS. The workplan will describe the
investigation methods proposed for this project. Once approval is granted, the
site investigative field work can be scheduled.
A Subsidiary of American Testing and Engineering Corporation Consulting Environmental.
