Thuy Tran [EH]
From: Thuy Tran [EH]
Sent: Thursday, December 26, 2013 2:51 PM
To: 'hgrubb@barghausen.com'; Omar Vasquez (ovasquez@barghausen.com)
Cc: 'Ken Wendt'; Edgar Rizkalli (pacificwestpetroleum@yahoo.com)
Subject: FW: Removal of Dead men Tank Anchorage-Arco am/pm Valpico Blvd and Tracy Blvd.,Tracy California
BCE#14624
Attachments: 20120427141216771.pdf
Hello Hal &Omar,
I have left you a voicemail this morning regarding 550 Valpico Blvd.At this site they will be removing and installing a new
91/diesel UST.The plans need revisions.
1. All pages of plans and title page needs to reflect the correct address: 550 West Valpico Road,Tracy, 95376 instead of
Valpico Road, East of Tracy Blvd. The right hand columns need to reflect correct site address. Plans check by 'initial
of PE' needs to be updated. Development info: replacing 12K/10K premium/diesel UST system.
2. Sheet M.5.3.04, there is a requirement for use of deadmen for the new install. In 2012, PE Dan revised the
buoyance calculations stating that they were not needed because the former contractors Town & Country did not
install them. Below is an email sent by PE Dan with an attachment stating why deadmen will not be needed. I am not
sure if Wendt Construction will be installing deadmen during the new install. Please confirm & make changes in the
Plan if needed.
3. Sheet M.5.3.01, item 18 states that "Bravo" sumps will be used. Per Wendt Construction, it will be "Xerxes" sumps.
Please confirm & make changes in the Plan if needed.
4. Edgar or Ken, please submit me a complete Well/ Pump permit along with the fee$125 for the ELD/ Enhanced Leak
Detection test that will be performed on the 91/diesel system
http://www.sicehd.com/docs/Well/o20Permit%20and/`20Declaration.pdf Type of work: check'Other' mark 'ELD
Test'.
5. Ken, please submit me the following manufacturer's certifications: Xerxes install, Red Thread primary&secondary
by Fiberglass Systems, Phil-Tite EVR I by Franklin Fuel Systems,Veeder-Root Level 2/3 or 4, Smith Fiberglass install
primary&secondary by Fiberglass Systems, Bravo Gold Certified
Thanks
Thuy Tran, Sr. REHS
Senior Registered Environmental Health Specialist
San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department
1868 East Hazelton Avenue Stockton, CA 95205-6232
Phone (209) 468-8257
Fax (209) 468-3433
http://www.sogov.org/ehd
From: Dan Goalwin [mailto:dgoalwin(abbarghausen.com]
Sent: Friday, April 27, 2012 2:36 PM
To: Thuy Tran [EH]
Cc: Sean Murphy; Pete Tobin; File; Edgar Rizkalli; Jay Grubb
Subject: Removal of Dead men Tank Anchorage-Arco am/pm Valpico Blvd and Tracy Blvd., Tracy California BCE #14624
1
