The UST system must be compatible with the substance being stored, California Code of Regulations <br /> (CCR), Title 23, Section 2631.1. <br /> 6. All piping, fittings, sumps, and tanks must be certified by an independent testing organization and <br /> labeled as required by the organization. (UL, ULC, ANSI, API, ASTM, etc. See Title 23 Chapter 16 <br /> Table B for complete list.) Pursuant to Underwriters Laboratories Inc (UL) listing requirements, only <br /> those products bearing the UL mark will be considered listed. ANY PART/PRODUCT NOT MARKED <br /> WITH THE UL LABEL OR ANOTHER LISTED TESTING ORGANIZATION WILL BE REJECTED. <br /> 7. All monitoring systems shall be listed in the CA State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) Local <br /> Guidance (LG) 113 letter. <br /> 8. All installation and testing shall be in compliance with manufacturer's instructions, CCR Title 23, <br /> Section 2635 and Section 2636. <br /> 9. All piping must slope to a containment sump with an audible/visual alarm. <br /> 10. UST sumps must be constructed "product tight" as defined by California Health and Safety Code <br /> (HSC) Section 25290.1. <br /> 11. All tank top openings that are connected to the primary space of the UST must have secondary <br /> containment, audible/visual alarm and be product tight or terminate at grade. <br /> 12. All secondary containment for the UST must be constructed per HSC Section 25290.1(c)(3). <br /> 13. The secondary containment system for the UST must be continuously monitored as required under <br /> HSC Section 25290.1 <br /> 14. Overfill prevention for the UST shall satisfy CCR Section 2635(b)(2)(A) pursuant to the permit <br /> application. <br /> 15. All UST metal components in direct contact with the ground such as flexible connectors, swing joints, <br /> fittings, clamps, bands, and pumps shall have corrosion protection. <br /> 16. Any changes in the approved scope of work shall be submitted to the EHD for approval prior to <br /> commencing work. All new submittals supersede the previous ones. <br /> 17. A "Certification of Installation / Modification"form for each tank shall be submitted by the owner or the <br /> owners' agent [pursuant to CCR Section 2635(d)] before this install will be considered complete by the <br /> EHD. <br /> 18. An accurate and drawn to scale as-built plan must be submitted to the EHD prior to scheduling a final <br /> inspection. <br /> 19. No gasoline, diesel, or other hazardous material or waste can be released (intentionally or <br /> unintentionally) to the sewer/septic, storm water system, or any other waters of the state. If a release <br /> occurs it will be considered illegal hazardous waste disposal and will be subject to enforcement. <br /> 20. Passing Enhanced Leak Detection (ELD) results for the UST must be received by the EHD prior to <br /> depositing product into the UST. <br /> 21. The UST monitoring system and overfill prevention must be inspected and approved prior to <br /> depositing product into the UST. <br /> 22. Contact Thuy Tran, REHS at (209) 468-8257 for inspections. See the inspection checklist in the permit <br /> application for the required inspections. All appointments must be scheduled 48 hours in advance. <br /> 23. This permit expires at the end of the calendar year.
