(AGE) has prepared this proposal for collection and analysis of soil samples for the removal of one underground storage tanks (UST) at 550 West Valpico Road, Tracy, California. It is our understanding that one split 22,000-gallon UST is located at the site (Unleaded and Diesel). The UST will be removed by Wendt Construction of Lodi, California; the excavation will be shored since a new UST will be installed in the same excavation. AGE will enter the shored excavation and collect four soil samples using hand-methods (hand- auger). The scope of work will include the following: • Collection of soil samples: four (4) samples from beneath the removed UST. A hand-auger will be used to advanced each shallow boring to approximately 2 to 3 feet below the floor of the UST excavation. A discrete soil sample will be collected from each location. • Analysis of two samples fortotal petroleum hydrocarbons quantified as diesel (TPH- d) and purgable aromatics (BTEX: benzene, toluene, ethyl benzene and xylenes). Analysis of two samples for TPH as gasoline, BTEX and fuel oxygenating compounds(MTBE, ETBE,TAME, DIPE,TBA).A 5-day laboratory turn-around time will apply. • Preparation of a brief transmittal report, including a summary of the results of laboratory analysis.
