The <br /> intensive OWTS usage may have a potential significant impact on ground water quality. The <br /> soil suitability and nitrate loading study (SSNL) shall be performed and submitted to <br /> Environmental Health Department (EHD) to determine potential impact and any mitigation <br /> needed. The SSNL shall address the maximum occupant load listed on the site plan or <br /> application, whichever one is greater. <br /> The EHD also has the following concerns that should be addressed: <br /> • The proposed area for OWTS may not be adequate for the proposed usage. <br /> • The proposed well may be a small public water system (SPWS) and may be required to <br /> consolidate. The applicant shall obtain an approval letter from California State Water <br /> Resource Control Board, Division of Drinking Water. The applicant shall contact Robert <br /> McClellon, Program Coordinator, Small Public Water System Program, at (209) 468- <br /> 0332 to initiate the process. <br /> Upon completion of the review of the SSNL and EHD's concerns been addressed, the EHD will <br /> formulate and submit the conditions of approval. <br /> 1868 E.
