9. ANCHORING <br /> a. For conditions requiring holddown straps, it is the responsibility of the tank <br /> owner or his technical representative to determine the quantity of holddown <br /> straps and the method of anchoring. <br /> b. If the tank is to be placed on a concrete slab, a minimum of 12" of <br /> approved bedding material must be installed between the slab and the tank <br /> bottom. <br /> C. The tank installer must install expansion joint material under each holddown <br /> strap and all straps must be evenly and properly tensioned. <br /> 10. FIELD INSTALLATION OF APPURTENANCES <br /> a. It is the responsibility of the tank installer to complete the required field <br /> installation of all appurtenances. <br /> b. Surface preparation: All surface areas to be field fiberglassed must be <br /> thoroughly sanded, cleaned, and dry. <br /> C. Resin and catalyst mixing: The ratio of resin to catalyst is 1 pint resin to <br /> 1/2 oz. catalyst. <br /> d. After mixing the components, the field fiberglassing task must be <br /> accomplished within 20 minutes. <br /> e. It is imperative ,that all air bubbles be worked out of resin-saturated <br /> fiberglass mat. <br /> 11 . INSTALLATION OF SECONDARY CONTAINMENT SUMPS OR STANDPIPES <br /> a. Set sump or standpipe onto sump mounting ring as shown in Figure 11. <br /> b. Attach sump or standpipe to sump mounting ring by first applying a single <br /> strip of 1 " wide masking tape around the joint. The masking tape <br /> eliminates voids and aids the fiberglassing operation. <br /> C.
