(Aegis), is pleased to provide this letter report documenting the <br /> results of air monitoring, from December 21 through December 27, 1991, at the subject <br /> site (Figure 1). The monitoring included measurements of: a) concentrations of total <br /> petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH) in the (influent) air stream drawn from vapor extraction <br /> wells (VEW) VEW-1 and VEW-2, and from horizontal slotted vapor extraction piping <br /> located on site; and, b) concentrations of TPH in the exhaust (effluent) emitted from an <br /> internal combustion (IC) unit temporarily operating on site (Figure 2). This report is <br /> based, in part, on information obtained by Aegis from Shell Oil Company (Shell) and is <br /> subject to modification as newly acquired information may warrant. <br /> SITE DESCRIPTION <br /> The Pacific Avenue Shell site is an active service station that retails regular-unleaded, <br /> super regular-unleaded, and super-unleaded gasolines.
