site. However, additional site characterization in the southeastern portion of the site
needs to be completed and the data assessed to verify hydrocarbon concentration trends
in the C-zone are declining before a format recommendation for MNA can be made.
Once sufficient data has been collected to verify MNA is an appropriate remedial option,
a revised corrective action plan will be submitted.
Below is a work plan for the recommended additional assessment.
7.0 WORK PLAN
As recommended in CRA's June 10,2011 Updated Site Conceptual Model, and based on
the analysis presented above, additional delineation of groundwater quality in the
C-zone is warranted. The groundwater samples collected from borings SB-7 through
SB-10 indicate that elevated TPHg and benzene levels are present at depths ranging
from approximately 56 to 64 fbg. The proposed wells should delineate the extent of
TPHg and benzene in the C-zone and provide data to determine whether monitored
natural attenuation is a suitable remedial alternative for this site.
7.1 PERMITS
CRA will obtain drilling permits from the San Joaquin County Environmental Health
Department.
7.2 HEALTH AND SAFETY PLAN HASP)
CRA will prepare a HASP to protect site workers. The plan will be kept on site during
field activities and will be reviewed and signed by each site worker.
7.3 UTILITY CLEARANCE
CRA will mark the proposed drilling locations, and the locations will be cleared through
Underground Service Alert and a private line locator service prior to drilling.
240854(29) 6 CON[STOGA-ROVERS&ASSOCIATES
