The CUF
concurs with the EHD that additional remediation is necessary to achieve water quality
objectives in a timely manner.
The consultant had proposed investigating the potential use of insitu chemical oxidation (ISCO)
to address the contaminants, but has found high sodium and other dissolved metals
concentrations in groundwater. The consultant is reevaluating ISCO and may propose an
alternative technology. Questions or comments should be directed to Lori Duncan at (209)468-
0337 or to Nuel Henderson at (209) 468-3436.
Sincerely,
Lori Duncan, REHS Nuel Henderson, PG
Senior Registered Environmental Engineering Geologist
Health Specialist
Annual 5-Year Review Update Response.doc
