CAMBRIA <br /> SITE CONCEPTUAL MODEL <br /> Cambria completed a site conceptual model for this site and included it as Appendix A <br /> SITE INVESTIGATION WORK PLAN <br /> Technical Rationale for Proposed Scope of Work <br /> • The vertical extent of petroleum hydrocarbons in groundwater has not been delineated <br /> Previous investigation findings detected TPHg and benzene beneath the site in groundwater <br /> as deep as 97 fbg <br /> • The lateral extent of petroleum hydrocarbons east of the existing USTs has not been <br /> delineated <br /> • Interim remediation has not been conducted at the site since a pilot SVE test during 1991 and <br /> 1992 <br /> Work Tasks <br /> Permits- An appropriate permit for drilling will be obtained from SJCEHD Shell will also <br /> obtain an access agreement for the property east of the subject site <br /> Site Safety Plan Cambria will prepare a Site Safety Plan for field work <br /> Utility Clearance- Cambria will mark proposed drilling locations and the locations will be <br /> cleared through Underground Service Alert prior to drilling <br /> Site Investigation- Two exploratory soil borings (MW-12 and MW-13) are proposed at the <br /> locations shown on Figure 2 The borings will be drilled using hollow-stem auger equipment and <br /> will be converted to groundwater monitoring wells Well MW-12 will be drilled in the strip mall <br /> parking lot across Pacific Avenue from the subject site, northeast of the existing USTs, and well <br /> MW-13 will be drilled east of the former USTs and dispensers <br /> A Cambria geologist will supervise the drilling and describe encountered soils using the Unified <br /> Soil Classification System and Munsell Soil Color Charts Soil samples from the bonngs will be <br /> 0854 4 <br />
