Box 2009 <br /> Stockton, CA 95201 <br /> RE: Union Ice Company <br /> 1320 West Weber Ave., Stockton, Calif. <br /> Site Code: 1283 ' <br /> This letter is in response to San Joaquin County's comments in the letter dated October <br /> 1, 1992 regarding the Phase III Site Assessment - Report of Findings, "Work Plan <br /> Phase III Continuing Re-Excavation Activities and Plisse IV Remediation", and the <br /> "Quarterly Groundwater Sampling Report - July, 1992. <br /> The sewer line, which is located in the area of theproposed re-excavation, serves only <br /> one bathroom. This line will be cleaned before any possible breakage in the line. If <br /> the line is broken during re-excavation activities, it ll be repaired after the re- <br /> excavation has been completed. <br /> Fields-Screening au�;u,g the re-excavatio) will-e acco nplished1lasi;ig-ea YiirJ�^v-i�^.:,incluon <br /> detector. Confirmation samples of the excavation will be taken every twenty (20) <br /> linear feet. These soil samples will be examined by a mobile, state certified, <br /> laboratory, Exelchem, which is located in Citrus Heights, California. Groundwater <br /> which seeps into the excavation will be pumped into holding tanks. Water samples <br /> from these tanks will be analyzed by Geo-Monitor, a state certified Laboratory, located <br /> in Hesperia, California. <br /> �I <br /> ,[ <br />
