UNION ICE COMPANY
1320 West Weber Avenue
Stockton, California
I Quarterly Sampling Report - Apnl, 1992
Site Code #1283
NARRATIVE
On April 6 and 7, 1992, WHF Environmental Consultants, Inc , in conjunction with
I HKM, Inc , conducted field measurements on ten (10) groundwater monitoring wells,
along with well pumping and sampling on three (3) of the wells located at this site
Groundwater elevations were taken from ten (10) wells prior to the pumping of the
three (3) wells (Table 1) Each well was evacuated by means of a steam cleaned, stain-
less steel bladder-type pump At least three (3) well volumes were pumped from each
well During the three (3) volume pump down of each well, samples were collected to
measure the field pH, electrical conductivity and temperature Once stability was
achieved and a minimum of three (3) well volumes were removed, the samples were
collected The samples were then labeled and placed in an ice chest cooled with blue
ice and crushed ice
The samples were then logged on a Chian of Custody and transported to GeoAnalytic.al
Laboratones, a State certified laboratory in Modesto, California The analysis re-
quested for the three (3) water samples was EPA method 602 for purgeable aromatic
hydrocarbons, method 5030/LUFT for total petroleum hydrocarbons-gasoline, and
fecal coliform The analytes and concentrations detected are lasted in Table 2 of this
report
The ground water elevations noted in this quarter's measurements are referenced on the
groundwater chart in Table 1 of this report The ground water gradient is currently in
the southeast direction
Also included in this report is the groundwater gradient map from depth to water
measurements taken on March 20, 1992 The gradient in March flows to the southeast
and also in the northwest direction which is consistent with the January, 1992,
gradient
