Laboratory reports and chain-of-custody forms <br /> are attached. <br /> Analyses of the soil samples collected from the borings for wells MW-4 and <br /> MW-5 indicated that petroleum hydrocarbons (identified as gasoline) were <br /> present in the soil. BTX&E compounds were also detected in soil samples <br /> from well MW-5. <br /> Analyses of water samples from wells MW-4 and MW-5 indicated that <br /> similar compounds (petroleum hydrocarbons identified as gasoline and <br /> certain BTEX compounds) are present in the groundwater. The highest <br /> concentrations are present directly under the location of the former tank. <br /> Figure 1 depicts the maximum probable extent of petroleum products in the <br /> ground water. <br /> Emblemn rno � <br /> A Problem Assessment Report(PAR) was requested by San Joaquin County <br /> in a letter dated April 5, 1991. Phone contact with Ms. Diane Hinson of the <br /> i County(June 6, 1991)was followed by a letter dated June 12, 1991 requesting <br /> a time extension for the PAR. The reason for this request was that the <br /> results from two additional underground storage tank removals (at 1325 <br /> and 1541 West Weber Avenue, respectively)are to be included in the report. <br /> The County granted a time extension until September 15, 1991. <br /> Interim Remedial Measurers <br /> ERM-West, Inc., on behalf of Catellus Development Corporation,is <br /> currently considering several possible interim remedial measures for the <br /> site. The selected interim measuic will be targeted at both preventing a <br /> deterioration in site conditions and short-term remediation, pending <br /> _- completion and acceptance of the PAR. <br />
