fff"uanterra <br /> Environmental <br /> CASE NARRATIVE Semces <br /> QUANTERRA INCORPORATED PROJECT NUMBER 096392 <br /> i <br /> iGeneral Comments <br /> Samples were received at 2 degrees Centigrade(C) as measured in the temperature blank and <br />' 6-9 degrees when measured from the samples directly The samples were delivered to the <br /> laboratory within a short time following collection(12102197 16 20 hours) and some samples <br /> may not have had not have sufficient tune to chill to < 6 degrees prior to arrival <br /> iSamples received in a separate cooler for bacteriological analysis were shipped directly to <br /> Aquatech in South Burlington, VT <br /> i <br /> Volatile Organics - Method 8260 <br /> The samples were analyzed for 1,2,4-Trimethylbenzene, 2,4,6-Trunethylbenzene and Benzene, <br /> Toluene, Ethyl Benzene and Xylenes(BTEX) compounds only as requested on the Cham of <br /> iCustody Record <br /> Duplicate laboratory control samples (DCS)were analyzed in lieu ofLCS/MS/MSD due to <br /> Mlimited sample volume The method blank, DCS and surrogate recoveries met QC acceptance <br /> criteria, with the following exceptions DCS samples were analyzed and evaluated on <br /> December 16, 1997, prior to a recent QC update, which modified the control limit windows <br /> At the time of analysis and data evaluation, the acceptance limits for chlorobenzene and <br /> tnchloroethene were 81-115% and 70-110%, respectively, and these limits were met <br /> However, when the data were entered, the updated limits were in place, which are slightly <br /> below the recoveries observed While the DCS recoveries are flagged in this report, the data <br /> were accepted based upon the criteria in place at the time of analysis <br /> Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons <br /> iSamples MW-5, MW-2A and MW-1A(Quanterra Lab ID 096392-0003, -0004 and -0005) <br /> showed TPH patterns wluch did not exactly match the reference standards Copies of the <br />' chromatograms for these samples and the associated reference standards for both Gasoline <br /> and Diesel analyses are included with this report <br />' Duplicate laboratory control samples (DCS)were analyzed in lieu of LCS/MS/MSD due to <br /> limited sample volume The method blank, DCS and surrogate recoveries met all QC <br /> acceptance critena <br />
